Saw the video earlier today on YouTube and now I’ve stumbled across this interactive data visualisation viewer using the data used to generate their non-camera/non-light music video. Press the play icon, let it compile and still play with the stage.

Radiohead seem to be the pioneers of this kind of stuff, good to see and very cool.

Ponoko laser cut your design (they provide you with a starter pack) and they sell it on-demand on your behalf. They are based in New Zealand so the cost of manufacturing is really competitive, however the shipping is expensive. They are trying to remedy this by opening depots in Europe and the States.

Overlay.TV is an interactive medium and tool that allows the user to view and create content Targets that are placed right on top of videos or images.

The idea for Overly.TV came when one of the founders’ partners was watching Televison. As she watched the program she made comments about the items the actors were wearing, but became frustrated as she had no idea about where to purchase those items. The idea for Overlay.TV came from this desire to have more information about the products in a show.

Went here today. The 3 light projections were cool. Standing in the beams of light was mesmeric and by using different parts of your body (mainly your hands) you could interact with the shapes coming from the projectors. Dry ice added texture to the beams of the light. You only have 7 days left to see this and it’s free.

Tried to take photos but it wasn’t allowed - here’s one I got away with.

job_name: the name for your posting “thingy”, which can be anything
out_name: the login name you use for your blog
out_pass: the password you use for your blog
out_url: http://[ your blog url ]/xmlrpc.php
out_time: the hour (from 0-23 in GMT) to post your links at every day
out_blog_id: your blog ID number (which is probably 1 if you have only one blog)
out_cat_id: go to the ‘Manage’ panel of your dashboard, choose ‘Categories,’ and choose the number to the left of the category you want the posts to appear for (I created a new one just for del.icio.us links so I can have a single category archive page with my history).

If everything is set up correctly, a post will appear with links you bookmarked that day, along with the text you entered.

Went to Scooterworks on Friday night. It was cool. A scooterists dream, I could buy a helmet (Davida ones, I was tempted, especially this one), oil, a Haynes Vespa manual and a beer.

The vibe was relaxed and prices not expensive. Also, it’s only £50 to hire the whole place for the evening (you’d get around 50 people in there).

Andy will like this. I do too.
